MAKING THE MOST OF WEB TECHNOLOGY:

 

Accessiblity:

VT 24/7 works over your own company's network using an intranet (or the internet). So say if there are several locations where your staff are working, even in diffferent towns, then each location can easliy be linked back to a central server. As the system works over a Web browser it means that:

  • The location and numbers of staff accessing the system becomes irrelevant. 
  • There is no need for local software!  
  • It's ideal for branch networks, chains of stores, recruitment agencies, forecourts, home/remote workers, lone workers.

 

MANAGING WORKING LOCATIONS AND DUTIES:

  •  VT Who's In? Shows who's in/out in real time - great for switchboard staff or even helps colleagues or supervisors to know whos in, if not in where the employee has gone and expected time of return
  • The Time Bank Helps to reduce overtime by "banking hours" for taking off later

METHODS OF MANAGING ABSENCES AND WORKING TIME:

 

VT247 also brings a "workflow" approach to working time. So, for instance, there are several ways that Staff can request a holiday, or make an update or amendment to a time record or report a sickness e.g.

  • Some/all updates or requests can be made at Touch Screensor at PCs
  • Then then the Supervisorsignsthese off electronically
  • Senior Mamagement now have real time access to working time activity

Of course with VT 24/7 some or all updates can still be handled in the conventional way i.e. centrally or via the Supervisor or Administrator.  In addition, many "time corrections" can now become irrelevant with "easi shift swap" facility, which can be used by the employee as he/she clocks in or out. In other words, in terms of "working time administration" once the shift is swapped in the system by the employee at the time of the occurance - then there is no need to make cumbersome corrections later.
