Time Terminals - Trax Time
MultiTime has worked hard with TMC in Bologna, the hardware manufacturer, in the innovative integration of the Trax Time Recording Terminal, into our VisionTime system.
Now we can offer a Terminal range with features specifically aimed at ease of use.
An example of that innovation is the unique “Booking Rhythm” feature ensures that employees will not make clocking mistakes.
For instance, by pointing the card to the left of the Time Terminal the employee can clock in, and to the right for clocking out. There is no need for contact or to press In/Out buttons. If the employee happens to point at the incorrect side - then the Trax Time Terminal "remembers" what the previous action was, and reminds the employee.
So this means the employee can't clock in after already having clocked in, for example.
The Trax Time Terminal can be configured in several ways to suit particular methods of clocking .
Other features include :-
- Real Time transfer of clockings from Trax Time Terminal to the VisionTime software.
- Data is therefore available at your P.C. and Network instantly in Real Time - irrespective of distance or location.c
- Full Display to show the employee his/her time balance at any time
The Time Terminal can work interactively and in tandem with other clocking methods e.g. PCs, Touch Screens, Mobile Phones.
So the one person could use
any device in sequence during any working day. An example might be where an employee would use the TMC Time Terminal in the morning and then use his/her PC for clcoking for the remainder of the day. In this way, the employee has an instant clocking device available in the morning time - and need not have to wait to clock as his/her PC to boots up.
There are lots of other examples where being able to clock "between" devices is useful.
See here for information on phone clocking for example.
More about Trax Time
Trax Time can be activated by a card and/or a P.I.N , while the employees can use any Terminals designated to him/her, with each Terminal being interactive with other Terminals. Trax Time are LAN Terminals communicating over TCPIP, so they do not need any separate wiring
Type of ways to Clock in/out at the Trax Time
- Using a Fingerprint
- I.D. Type Card – proximity, magnetic stripe
- P.I.N.
While, the Trax Time Terminal has an integrated Ethernet facility which means they can be used in your existing LAN structure, there are also other versions of the Terminal :-
- Dial Up
- GSM/GPRS
- Wi-Fi (WLAN 802.11B)
The Trax Time Terminal can be used in conjuction with other clocking concepts. For one person using all of the options in the following might be unlikely - but it does explains just how much work MultiTime has put into the integration of the clocking methods that we offer:-
So I could clock at a Trax Time Terminal in the morning, then clock out at a P.C. for lunch time. After lunch I could clock back in via an Access Control terminal at a door way, while going home I could use a conveniently located Touch Screen. The next day I am not on site - so I could clock via my mobile phone - and so on.
Therefore all of our clocking methods are interactive with each other.
